Northcult – ‘The Unknown’
"xNorthcult - An artistic evolution in partnership with the Northcott Theatre."
This June saw the launch of the newly refurbished exhibition space at Exeter Northcott.
"Northcult" is a collaborative project between the theatre and the people who brought you the acclaimed gallery space at the Aeon Festival, Rob Portus and Laura Robinson.
The launch falls on the summer solstice and celebrates not only the birth of Northcult, but marks the theatres rebirth as a dynamic hub for the region’s artists.
The first exhibition is themed ‘The Unknown.’ and features work from some of the regions freshest talents and some of our most established names. Lawson Rudge Snr will be revealing a collection of his very own “unknown!” works.
The launch night featured an exclusive viewing for press and invited friends of the theatre early on and then the gallery space was open to the public from 8pm for an evening of live music and DJ’s going on well into the longest night! The exhibition will be available for viewing for the rest of June and July.
